Terms & Conditions.

These terms govern every Lean Six Sigma, CQE, AI-augmented learning, and QA Evaluation Tool engagement booked with Meridian Sigma Consulting ("Meridian Sigma," "we," "us"). Please read them before enrolling or subscribing. By registering for a program, purchasing a license, or signing an order form, you ("Participant," "Customer," "you") agree to be bound by them.

1. Scope & acceptance

What these terms cover.

These Terms & Conditions apply to: (a) Lean Six Sigma belt training (Yellow through Master Black Belt, and the Executive & Champion track); (b) ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) exam preparation; (c) AI-augmented coaching and tutoring add-ons; and (d) the QA Evaluation Tool platform and any bundled third-party software licensing (e.g. Minitab) we help provision. Certification exams themselves are administered by independent accrediting bodies (ASQ, the Council for Six Sigma Certification, IASSC, or others you select) under their own separate terms — see Section 3 for how that interacts with our refund policy.

Corporate and group agreements, custom onsite delivery, and enterprise QA Evaluation Tool contracts may include a signed order form or master services agreement; where that document's terms conflict with this page, the signed agreement controls.

2. Payment terms

A simple, two-part payment schedule.

Training-program fees (Lean Six Sigma, CQE prep, and Executive & Champion track) are split evenly across two milestones:

Milestone 1
50%due at enrollment

A deposit of half the training fee is due when you register, to reserve your seat in the cohort or classroom session.

Milestone 2
50%due at the start of training

The remaining balance is due on or before the first day of your training event — the first live session for online-led cohorts, or the first day for classroom-led sessions.

Certification exam fees (billed by ASQ, CSSC, IASSC, or the relevant accrediting body) and any third-party software licensing (e.g. Minitab) are itemized separately at checkout and are not part of this 50/50 schedule — see Lean Six Sigma pricing, CQE pricing, or Minitab licensing. Corporate and group invoices may follow an agreed milestone schedule set out in the order form instead of this default split. Accepted payment methods, currency, and invoicing details are confirmed at enrollment; final invoices may be issued in USD, EUR, or GBP.

3. Cancellation, rescheduling & refunds

How refunds are calculated.

Refunds are based on how much notice you give before your training event's start date (the first live session for online-led cohorts, or the first day for classroom-led sessions). This applies to amounts already paid toward the training fee.

Notice given before the training event startsRefund
15 days or moreFull refund of amounts paid
7–14 days50% refund of amounts paid
Less than 7 days, or a no-showNo refund

Rescheduling instead of cancelling

You may request to move to a later cohort or classroom date, subject to availability, at any point before your training event starts — including inside the 7-day no-refund window — as an alternative to cancelling. One free reschedule is included per enrollment; it does not trigger the refund schedule above.

Substituting a participant

If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your seat to a colleague at no charge, provided you notify us before the training event starts. This is often a better option than cancelling inside the 50%-refund or no-refund windows.

Certification exam & third-party fees

Exam fees already paid to ASQ, CSSC, IASSC, or another accrediting body — and any third-party software licensing such as Minitab — are billed and refunded directly by that provider under its own policy. This schedule covers Meridian Sigma's own training fee only.

If we cancel or reschedule a session

If Meridian Sigma cancels or postpones a training event (low enrollment, instructor availability, force majeure), you'll receive a full refund of amounts paid for that event or a free transfer to the next available cohort — your choice.

To cancel, reschedule, or request a refund, contact us in writing at our contact page or sales@meridiansigma.com with your enrollment details, before the applicable deadline above. We'll confirm the outcome and, where a refund applies, process it back to your original payment method.

4. Software & SaaS terms

QA Evaluation Tool & third-party licensing.

The QA Evaluation Tool is quoted and contracted per team, as described on its pricing page — billing cadence, term length, and cancellation terms for your subscription are set out in your specific order form or agreement rather than the training refund schedule above, since a software subscription and a scheduled training event are cancelled on different bases.

Minitab licenses we help provision are sold and licensed by Minitab (or an authorized reseller) directly, under Minitab's own end-user terms; Meridian Sigma facilitates selection and procurement but is not the licensor.

5. Conduct & certification integrity

Fair play, for everyone in the cohort.

No exam content sharing

Reproducing, distributing, or discussing live exam content from ASQ, CSSC, or IASSC violates those bodies' own certification agreements and ours — it can result in removal from the program without refund and referral to the accrediting body.

Capstones & AI coaching

Our AI coach drafts and flags issues in capstone projects; a certified human instructor reviews and signs off on every capstone and certification decision. Submitted project work must be your own.

Respectful cohort conduct

Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior toward instructors or fellow participants — online or in the classroom — may result in removal from a session without refund.

No pass guarantees

We report exam-readiness among candidates who complete our review and say so plainly. Completing a program does not guarantee a passing exam result, which depends on the accrediting body's own grading.

6. Intellectual property

Course materials stay ours; your work stays yours.

Course materials, templates, datasets, recordings, and the QA Evaluation Tool platform itself are owned by Meridian Sigma or our licensors and are provided to you for personal, non-commercial learning use tied to your enrollment. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or use them to train or deliver a competing program without our written permission.

Work product you create as part of a capstone project — analysis of your own organization's process data, for example — remains yours; we do not claim ownership of it. "Lean Six Sigma," "CQE," and related methodology names are generic industry terms, not proprietary to Meridian Sigma; certification marks belong to their respective accrediting bodies.

7. Liability & disclaimers

The practical limits of what we can promise.

Training and software are provided "as is" and on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian Sigma is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our programs or platform, including missed exam results, business interruption, or third-party accrediting-body decisions outside our control. Our total liability for any claim relating to a training program or subscription is capped at the amount you paid us for that specific program or subscription term.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Data privacy

What we do with your information.

We collect enrollment, billing, and contact-form information solely to deliver training, process payment, and respond to enquiries — never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Where an AI coaching or QA Evaluation Tool feature processes your organization's data (capstone datasets, contact-center interactions), that data is used only to deliver the service you requested and is handled under the data-processing terms in your specific order form.

9. Changes to these terms & governing law

Keeping this page current.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time; the effective date at the top of this page reflects the version in force. Changes apply to new enrollments — an enrollment already confirmed is governed by the terms in force on the date you registered, including its payment and refund schedule. Material changes affecting active enrollments will be communicated directly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your order form or, where none is specified, the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Questions about these terms can be sent to our contact page or sales@meridiansigma.com.
